Member Spotlight: Ria Manyari

Our member spotlight this week is on one of our newest members, Ria Manyari, a female accessible luxury shoe brand.

Who is Ria Manyari?

Ria Manyari is headed up by Maria (Ria) Paez and Emanuele Valeriano. Maria and Emanuele are the founders of Ria Manyari and they want to make women confident and elegant in every step they take by using unique design and quality materials to handcraft exclusives shoes, handbags and accessories for women. The brand’s name is a combination of her nickname, Ria, and her mother’s Peruvian maiden name, Manyari, which Ria incorporated to acknowledge her mother’s influence in her life.

Maria started Ria Manyari with the vision of creating a global shoe brand that offers an alternative for women who appreciate high-end quality shoes that are as unique as her individual style. Ria’s passion for shoes comes from her father, who entered the shoe industry in 1974.

With the dream of one day forming her own company, Ria left her home in Peru at age 17 to pursue higher education in the United States. Ria earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, and, in 2011, she obtained an MBA from Rutgers University. For more information go to:

What is your current focus for 2015?

We want to provide quality products and we are always looking for ways to improve them. Our next big project is to start handcrafting our bags here in the US (Lisle, IL to be exact).

Why did you join Rev3?

We were very fortunate to learn about Rev3 during the Ideas To Profit Business Pitch Contest. We were one of the 3 finalist and part of our prize was a 1 year co-working membership at Rev3. Awesome!

In addition to having an amazing space to work in every day, we were looking for an opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs and we found that at Rev3. In addition to all of the events they host each month (Great for networking!), there are opportunities to meet one-on-one with professionals through the business mentoring program.
